A Personal Note from Richard:

As a life-long professional educator, one of my greatest desires and joys is to create and maintain professional development opportunities for candidates who have the potential of having positive impacts on the lives of their students. That goal has been consistent over the years, and it’s such a joy to discover how these former graduate students are able to create and maintain quality school environments.

Over the years, I’ve also had a number of opportunities to participate in and lead in professional development seminars for K-12 educators in the United States, Asia and throughout Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East. For a period of time, I also had these same opportunities in Ethiopia and Kenya as well as in the West Africa countries of the Ivory Coast and Cameroon.

To this day, I have the privilege of teaching online graduate-level courses for two universities in California. Each of my students are working toward their M.A. in Education and/or their California Administrator Credential. Most of my students have had several years of experience as professional educators, so this gives me unique opportunities to be inspired by their insight and discoveries. The field of education is truly alive and well!

My main area of expertise (and experience) is in the area of school leadership for those who desire to be the finest teacher-leaders possible, as well as those who have discovered their leadership skills as future school administrators. In addition to students who are potential school leaders and administrators, I have a number of students who want to be more effective in corporate leadership. In classroom and online settings, this provides for a rich learning environment where transformational change is very similar in both the opportunities of coaching leaders in the corporate world as well as in the area of school leadership.
